The First Phone To Feature A 48MP Camera
The Honor V20 will feature a 48MP camera, making it the first smartphone ever to come with the camera configuration. Although, the high-pixel-count of the sensor would ensure better quality pictures, it is Sony’s IMX586 CMOS sensor that could make a difference in the dark, owing to the pixel-binning technology. This 1/2.0-inch CMOS sensor will be supplemented with Huawei’s Light Fusion technology that combines multiple images in quick succession to come up with better low-light pictures. So, in layman’s term, we can expect the phone to churn out some pretty neat photos regardless of the lighting conditions. Honor has even claimed that the phone can produce DSLR-level pictures and going by the sample images, it does appear so. However, given that the company has an affinity for passing on DSLR images as smartphone pictures, we are not sure what to believe.
